  1. They keep calling every single freaking day! Sometimes more than once! I’m sick of it & idk how they’re getting past the block on my phone.

  3. In over 20 years of being a Sierra Club member and contributor, I have NEVER received a soliciting phone call from the organization. Their requests have always been received via email or postal letter. If you are being asked to donate by phone, do NOT oblige. The number and the requests are a scam.

    • Me either. They call EVERY NIGHT. I started talking to them tonight, trying to pre-empt what I thought would be a spiel, to explain why I was asking them not to call anymore, but then the woman interrupts me and goes “ok, who am I talking to?” without ever introducing herself or saying where she was calling from. Rude. And —

      SCAM.

  5. I keep getting calls even though I’ve tried blocking them on my phone. No one speaks. When I call back it’s busy.

    • If this is from the Sierra Club, then they should not be calling me, as I’ve NEVER donated to them or given them permission to call me. I think it is a scam, using somputer soft wear to show the sierra club number.

    • I just called Sierra Club’s National HEADQUARTERS in Washington DC. They can look up the number for me and VERIFIED that this IS an OFFICIAL Sierra Club that makes calls to people that have previously donated to this non-profit!!! It is A REAL CALL CENTER FOR SIERRA CLUB!! It is a safe call to answer to donate to Sierra Club!! Or, go online and donate to them to STOP Trump from destroying our National Park System!!!!

      • I’ve never donated to the Sierra Club or had any dealings with them. Checked with law enforcement, they are a SCAM. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!

      • This is NOT a Sierra Club associated number or call center.
        Please stop spreading misinformation.
If you wish to donate to Sierra Club, please use google or bing Sierra Club to get our website and from there the donation button is at the top of the front page.
Do NOT answer this Michigan number and definitely do not give money if someone actually responds on the caller side.
        Thank you.

        • It’s not that we are spreading misinformation, it’s that the caller ID shows “Sierra Club.” I love the Sierra Club!

      • Yes, I also called the Sierra Club’s national headquarters and they checked, it is an official Sierra Club call, but they use third-party call centers. The third-party call centers must use a phone bot because my spam blocker caught 15 calls from this number in less than 3 seconds. I am a member of the Sierra Club and have donated before, so it makes sense that my name and number are on their list. Don’t know why others would receive calls unless they’re doing cold calling for fundraisers.

    • I never give any of my information to someone who calls me. If I want to make a donation I contact the company. You never know if they are thieves, who have hijacked a phone number. Also, telemarketers must know by now that calling many times without leaving a message, will get you blocked. I’ve blocked this number.

  11. The number 231 732 2081 does not seem like a scam The woman that called from Sierra club said they are attempting to stop radium radiation drilling at edge of Grand Canyon that is known to have high levels of radiation that harms all life. You can go to Sierra Clubs web site and mail in checks each month of what you can afford, $8. & up for example. You do not have to give your credit card number.
